Spring Trend makeup class, Tuesday March 27th from 6-7:30pm

It's that time of year again! Fresh-faced, glowing, clean, soft looks are coming back.
Learn how to apply a simple but elegant spring face. This is a go-everywhere look, designed to be easily adjusted. From tinted moisturizer, to eyeshadow as eyeliner, this look is meant to enhance without weighing you down! Embrace the return of the sun, with this demonstration style makeup class, to help you lighten up and branch out!

Basic Eye Techniques, Tuesday April 17th from 6-7:30pm

Learn all about how to get that perfectly blended crease, a long wearing daily look that will enhance the eyes without being over the top, and feel empowered to create makeup looks you love.

"Put this color in your crease" they said. So you did. How does it end up looking like you got punched in the eye?

From tools and colors, to blending techniques and smooth eyeliner, learn the ins and outs of a great eyeshadow application.
It doesn't have to be intimidating and difficult! A few basic skills can change everything whether you prefer being more natural or dramatic.
In just a short class, you can learn the basics and leave feeling like you have a handle on how to apply all those colors that are just sitting in your bathroom drawer.
This is a demonstration style class, so you will be able to take notes, ask questions, and even take photos as we go.

Airbrush makeup class

Flawless, lightweight, AND longwearing? You betcha! That's the beauty of airbrush.

This is the class you've been waiting for!!

Learn the ins and outs of airbrush makeup and how to use an airbrush system.

From foundation application, to maintenance of the system and how to make this work for home use, get the basics down and feel confident in a brand new skill that will set your makeup apart and let you shine! Not that t-zone sort of shine either....you know, that brilliant, bold, I've-got-the-world-by-the-tail kind of shine. ;)

This class is focused on anyone who has never used an airbrush system and is thinking about purchasing one for home use or to add this as a service for clients, though I will definitely be sharing advice and tips for those who have used an airbrush system and feel they can improve.

This is the most lightweight, flawless and long wearing foundation you'll find.

You will need to own and airbrush system or be willing to invest in one. I recommend Dinair systems for at-home or beginning-to-airbrush use. If you're looking for a more advanced system that can grow with your skills, the Neo airbrush and Neo 3-speed mini-compressor by Iwata are perfect.

I have a limited number of airbrush systems available for this class if you're not sure about purchasing a system before class. Please indicate whether you will need a loaner system and I will reserve one on a first-come-first-serve basis. 

Class is 125.00 per person.

July Glamour for a Cause

July 7th from 1pm-8pm at the Faces by Ren Studio; 308 South Roan Street, Johnson City TN

Glamour for a Cause is one way I give back to my local community by combining special pricing on services with fun events.  Help me raise money for worthy local charities and causes by attending and/or donating throughout the month of each featured recipient.

This month's event will be "Wizard Cat Merlin" themed! Cat facepaintings, Merlin paw print mugs for sale, cat themed snacks and cute pets in the studio who are looking for furever homes.

Glamour for a Cause will benefit the Unicoi County Animal Shelter. They will be on hand to answer questions and share some of their fur babies who are looking for a family.

Suggested donations of 5.00-15.00 for facepaintings. 1/2 of paw print mug sales will go to them that day as well!

This is a drop-in event and family friendly. 

Merlin will be here to hang out, though he may want to hide because of the other furry visitors. :) 

The Unicoi County shelter has had a high number of special needs animals dropped off who needed a lot of medical attention and we want to help as many of our fur friends as possible!
